Academic Facilities

Hindustan College provides a magnificent and comprehensive range of facilities within the hindustan campus for its students. The classrooms at Hindutsan Campus are contemporary, equipped with ceiling mounted LCD Projectors and computers. Institute frequently organises National & International level Conferences and Seminars on various themes and disciplines to promote industry interaction for its students.

The auditoriums at Hindustan are up to date with state-of-the-art multimedia systems which can be used for presentations, seminars, fests and other academic events. The various libraries are well equipped with a vast number of books, journals, magazines and newspapers for students. The development of state-of-the-art infrastructure and technical facilities has been a continuous process at Hindustan Campus. The laboratories provide practical exposure of various subjects and give an opportunity to the students to experiment what they have learnt in classrooms.

The Teaching-Learning pedagogy used in the classrooms is IT enabled and all classrooms are fitted with LCD projectors and sound systems. The lecture halls can accommodate up to 200 students while the tutorial classes are designed for a strength of 30-40 students. We have a LAN-enabled campus, on which a Learning Management System(LMS) is made available, which can facilitate students to discuss academic topics, submit their assignments online, see their class notes, study through specially designed learning resources, and also refer to reference and digital library.

The Institute recognizes the key role that IT plays in teaching as well as research. Therefore, it is committed to providing computing facilities of the highest standards. A high-speed optical fiber network of 1Gbps through two ISPs with wireless redundancy allows all students to access a range of services across our entire campus including student hostels with more than 200 access points.

The college has many Auditoriums and Seminar Rooms equipped with the latest audiovisual facilities for guest lectures, seminars, presentations, and other academic activities. Besides, every school has a Conference/Boardroom for meetings, faculty presentations, and discussions.

Hindustan College has excellent laboratory facilities for carrying out teaching, research and consultancy activities in various disciplines of engineering, medical, dental sciences and mass communication. The College has state of the art labs that allow the students to experiment and bring to practice what they have learnt in theory.

Libraries are the hub of academic life of the campus. Housed in spacious halls, the Libraries are well stacked with text books, technical journals, periodicals, and reference material for advanced research and development work. The schools also subscribe to DELNET and other Internet Libraries. Modern aids to Education, including online digital libraries, Audio/Video records of renowned academicians are available in Hindustan campus in different blocks of libraries. It remains open 14 hours a day from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on all days, and up to 19-20 hours a day during examinations. One Air Conditioned Central library is under development phase which will remain open 24×7.

Training students in a practical environment is a vital part of our academic plans, considering that the practical exposure is an inevitable aspect of a student’s overall development regarding subject understanding and related concepts. Hindustan College offers modern workshop facilities, as an integral part of the programme curriculum.

With more than 20 clubs broadly classified under Cultural, Sports and Technical Societies, the student’s activity center at Hindustan College provides students a platform to showcase their knowledge/talents and assist in the overall growth of the students. Photography, Radio, Dramatics, football, basketball, cricket and technical club of each school are just a few to name. Hindustan College has also partnered with SPIC MACAY (Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth) to provide students and staff of Sharda an opportunity to not only attend high-quality cultural events right here in our campus but also to explore and enhance their own cultural talents. SPIC MACAY is a voluntary organization that promotes Indian cultural arts by organizing several performances of renowned artists. In the busy schedule of academic activities, SPIC MACAY chapter brings in a sense of relaxation and also helps in developing a better understanding of the Indian culture.
