Academics

Dean Academics and his team coordinate for the development and implementation of the vision and goals of the college. HCST is affiliated to Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow. We are committed to provide strategic oversight of all matters related to teaching and learning. Monitoring the implementation of Academic Policies and taking decisions is the core area of our working. The development and implementation of the Faculty Teaching and Learning Enhancement Plan is another core area to work upon. Dean Academics monitors the progress of the students in all directions. We develop and plan strategies according to the guidance of Dr. AKTU, Lucknow to enhance the students’ learning experience through NPTEL and virtual lab etc. We coordinate with the IQAC(Internal quality assessment committee) for maintaining quality standards.

Deans Academics occupy a unique place in the continuum of academic administrators, as a facilitating link amongst the Department Heads, faculty members, staff, students and Institute leadership. We lead and coordinate college strategic planning, curriculum development by University and assessment efforts. Preparation, revision and execution of the academic program plan i.e. Academic Calendar for HCST is monitored by the dean academics.

We supervise, evaluate and support departments in a judicious manner to promote excellence in instruction, scholarly and creative productivity and services at HCST (through IQAC).

We, truly believe in maintaining effective communication amongst the students, faculty, HODs, Deans and staffs within the academic unit. We also articulate the institute policies and procedures to all the members of the academic unit and ensure that the academic unit policies and practices are consistent within the Institute.

We work with HR team also for handling human resource, faculty performance appraisal, performance management issues and faculty grievances.

We also serve additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director for Academic affairs.
