Scholarships
There are Merit cum means scholarships offered to applicants by the Govt of U.P. through the Samaj Kalyan Department (visit AKTU website for details)- e.g. SC/ST; OBC and financially weaker sections. In addition, to create a healthy competition among the students for academic excellence, the college has planned merit scholarships, for meritorious students already studying at Sharda College. Student obtaining position in the first five rankings overall or first two rankings of his/her branch in the university examination in any academic year is awarded merit scholarship by the Sharda Educational Trust.
In addition, the management has instituted the ‘Best Project Prize’ and ‘Second Best Project Prize’ for the final year students of each branch. This encourages the students to work on projects having some quality and scope for implementing the projects in real time. In addition to attract meritorious students the Sharda Educational Trust offers its preset scholarships in all its Institutions to the new entrants as per the undermentioned criteria:
- Merit Scholarship: Merit Scholarship: Based on the academic performance of the students (as per the criteria defined in the Schedule “A” and “B”) enclosed
- Vidushi Scholarship: Rs. 10000/- scholarship above 65% marks (PCM/B) in qualifying exam applicable only for Girl Students who will opt for B.Tech, BBA, BCA courses in Hindustan College and Science and Technology. Not payable if the student is recipient of any other scholarship. Minimum 80% class attendance to be maintained and 65% + aggregate marks in the previous two semesters need to maintained for continuation of Scholarship in subsequent years (Details enclosed).
- Community Referrals Scholarships / Reward: Rs. 10000/- for B.Tech/MBA/MCA, M.Tech for admission through Alumni/ Student/ Faculty/ Staff refence, can be waived off in the Tuition fee of the student who has opted for Hindustan College of Science and Technology/ HIMCS courses as outlined above once in the initial year at the time of admission to the student or alternatively granted to the referring person as referral reward. (“other terms and conditions are defined in the referral policy 2025- 26 enclosed). In any one the above case; the total number is subject to a maximum 20% of approved seat capacity of the Campus College/ Branch. Community referral advantage will not be offered to the applicants and student who is recipient of any other scholarship (in CS & allied branches only 15% seats) (Details enclosed.
- Employee Ward Scholarship: 25% or 50% tuition fee waived off for the ward of a serving employee of the Campus/ Group by Competent Authority, depending respectively if the employee has put in more than 5 or 10 years of service. In case of employee having put in >15 year services and his/her annual take home earning (excluding PF/ESI etc) being less than 8 lacs rupees per annum, 60% of tuition fee waiver will be granted. - Caution Money: The caution Money charged in fee will be exempted in special cases only with the permission of Competent Authorities in writing e.g. Admission Head/ Director.
- Scholarship for Wards of Defence Personnel / Zonal/ State level Sports persons/ students with demonstrated innovation achievements/ Siblings. (Details enclosed).
Note:
(a) Only one scholarship/exemption can be offered to the student, whichever is highest in monetary terms.
(b) For CSE and allied courses, only 20% of the total intake seat capacity can be offered the Merit Scholarship, whereas in
other branches, up to 25% of students can be awarded Merit Scholarships.
